Is there a replay system in this latest version? How do I activate it?

There's Replay menu at the top. After running a number of laps, after you
exit the***pit, the sim displays your laptimes. Click on those laps that
you want to save and click "Save". You can then load any saved lap from
the aforementioned Replay menu.

BTW, this may only apply to hotlaps, as that's all I've tried so far.

Yeah, I was hoping to be able to save replays of entire races.......Never
mind, I'm sure it will be implemented in a future version along with logging
of times for league races.

You should look in your replay folder after a race: a file named cr (or
something like that) is created, which contains the whole race replay. I
heard of it at racesimcentral, but can't confirm that... no time... learning
for exams... try it and tell us if it works.

Yep, It works. All you have to do is add the .nkr extension to it and
then it will be shown in the replay window and you can view it...
filesize is pretty large for even short races with few amount of
people though =]
