says...

That's exactly what you told me, but I still see lots of the graphics I
had done in CART95 in there.  As far as the default Papyrus set goes,
does your read.me file not say thanks to them "as well as for completing
the intial carset, from which I nicked a decal or two to save time"???

So your new set is indeed a rehash, as must as you hate to admit it.  But
there's nothing wrong with that, nor is there anything wrong with my set
being a "rehash."  Unless every single driver and team gets brand-new
sponsors with no prior involvement in the sport during the off season,
there really is no need for you, me, or anyone else to have to create a
new set 100% from scratch.

As far as beating my set anyday, I don't agree having seen it (did you
expect me to say otherwise?), but it is an obvious improvement over your
previous version.  Good luck with the updates and have fun.

If you want a "real" 1996 carset for IndyCar Racing II, boy have you
come to the right place!! I have a great one! It beats Earl Ma's
anyday. All new! No rehash's of old sets, or even Papyrus' original.
New chassis. New paint schemes and sponsors! Drop me a line if
interested!

Chris --

I would have dropped you a line, except that your ego got in the way
of my fingers when I was typing your e-mail address.

Take a lesson from Mike Carver, Chris.  He has class.  He says his car
sets are "not better, just different."  There's nothing wrong with
offering alternative choices -- it pushes the quality level up on both
sides.  But trying to pass yourself off as the "best of the best"
doesn't make your product appealing, it makes you look like an ass.

Just MHO.  Show a little more class next time.

I have both carsets at my Indycar site, and the statistics don't lie it's 4 to 1 in favor of Earl Ma!

I realize I've only been around for about 10 days or so,as a Indy Car/NACAR site,  but I can read the logs!
Competition is good! Blasting another's work is BAD! All that leads to is less incentive to create even better
sets in the future! Who would want to spend the time and effort to create a set only to have it ridiculed in
PUBLIC FORUM. This is a big enough sport for all contributors....Let's keep it that way.

Chris I like your work don't get me wrong. It's far better than I can do! But being over zealous about
your work at the expense of others is not the way to gain the respect of fellow racers. Let the end user be
the judge of what is good or not.

Not only is your car set better Earl, you are a class act.

I want to make it clear that I am not the Chris that wrote the original
Ego-centric note. The last reply gives it the appearance that I did.
