Problem w/ T2 and N3

In N3, when I steer left, the car goes right. When I steer right,
the car goes left. I've tried everything. I tried uninstalling my
Soundblaster Live and reinstalling it. I downloaded Propanel 1.1. It
doesn't do any good. Anyone have any ideas?  This sucks. I've got
Daytona and can't drive it.

Have you tried recalibrating?

That happened to me a few times with my T2. I think I fixed it by selecting
the Papyrus driver, exiting the game and recalibrating several times. I kept
retrying the calibration and it just decided to work. No exact science to
it. I have a SBLive and since DirectX7, I've had controller-related problems

Make sure you turn LEFT first when calibrating the wheel.  If your steering
pot is spiking it might be sending a false reading to the calibration
program as well.  You can check the pot for spiking by using the "test"
section in the control panel / game controllers program.

Jason.

I have that problem occaasionally with both my T1 and my GP1...just try
recalibrating, and if that doesn't work, 'reverse calibrating' (it tells you
to steer left then right...so steer right then left), then recalibrating it
again.

Here is what is available from Sierra via the Technical support "Interactive
knowledge base":

Problem
Steering is reversed
Steering LEFT moves the car RIGHT and vice verse.

Solution
Steer left THEN right.

During the SET CONTROLS phase of controller setup, when asked to steer the
controller to the left and then to the right, it is normal for the SET
CONTROL
window to disappear after steering to the left. Be sure to steer to the
left, then to
the right. DO NOT attempt to reset the control and steer to the right as
this will
reverse the steering.

Yes. Many times. I had this problem once before and it just
cleared itself up and I never recalibrated again.

I tried the reverse calibrating and still no luck.

When calibrating, always turn left first then right or it will be backwards
on the track.

I have had the same problem before. Just had to recalibrate several times
and it finally worked.  Some kinda bug I guess. Ensure that your wheel is
centered before calibrating. Good Luck.....

I had this problem with my T2 and N3 as well and the solution has been
covered here.  You may have to open the wheel and clean the steering pot
because it is spiking to the right when you initially steer left.  That's
what I finally did to fix it.  However, the problem went away completely
when I broke down and bought a LWFF ;-)
