S.N.A.R.L. (Simulated Nascar Auto Racing League)
Web pages are now being put together, and should be up and running,
soon...
also S.N.A.R.E (Simulated Nascar Auto Racing Exchange) FTP Site with
setups, and Cars, hints, tips, tricks, etc...

If you have any suggestions for the league, such as rules, guidlines,
membership, season schedule, etc... Please E-mail them

also if anyone would be interested in a small fee being charged, to
cover various costs, and also resulting in prizes for the top drivers,
such as Tickets to Watkins Glen Races, Driving Controlls ,etc.

Thanks for your time-

Probably not a good idea to charge anything for the league, while
being a good idea in theory it would no doubt result in cheating.
It's all in the name of fun anyway, if a prize was the motivation I'm
sure at least a few folks would find ways to avoid being caught
cheating.  That's just my .0000000002 worth for now.  Other
suggestions will come via e-mail but I just wanted to say this to
everyone just to find out if there are any "true" methods to weed out
cheating if it's at all possible.

Sounds good.  Leave out the fees though.  Too much temptation for
people to *cheat*.

Some suggestions:

1. Don't impose setup restrictions.
2. Allow several divisions based on opponents on screen (some of us
don't have pentiums to run 38 opponents, but wouldn't mind running
100% distance)
3. Allow provisionals based on points standings - that way the
regulars get a chance when they're down.
4. Make qualifying a must.  Like ESPN said, "You can't win the race,
if you don't qualify...."
5. Perhaps more promo on the winners of the divisions, i.e, picture of
driver/car etc.

Go #6 Mark Martin and #16 Ted Musgrave - Jack Roush Racing!!

There are a few folks connected with the Papyrus BBS who have come up
with software that makes it nearly impossible to cheat.  The recent
showdown between compuserve and the Papyrus BBS (compuserve was judged as
the faster group) had a very comprehensive anti-cheat software.  On the
down side of it, it was also *very* sensitive.

Of course, *IF* you're an expert programer, I'd imagine you can get away
with just about anything, given enough time.
