How much, if at all, does it slow you down when you drive on the rumble
bars in sims - I'm particulary interested in F1RS and TOCA (okay, many
of you don't regard TOCA as a sim). Should you just clip them or is it
okay to run the inside wheels right over them? I see real F1 drivers all
over them but surely it can't be as quick as flat tarmac - or does the
extra racing line counteract that?

Hmm.. I've often wondered about that myself. In TOCA I can't detect a
great effect on speed if you run over the rumble strips. If it's a
fairly flat curve I usually just clip the strip, but in a tighter curve
or chicane I will run right over the strip to get a good line. I think
as you say, the better racing line would compensate anyway.
