a problem with Thrustmaster buttons

My Pro Digital 2 just started having a problem where buttons that are mapped
to a single key generate multiple keystrokes instead of a single click.
Fairly annoying for all involved when my "Pit Out" message gets sent 11
times.  This has only happened in N4, GPL seems to work fine.  Anyone run
into this before, and have an idea where I might begin to look.  (I've
e-mailed Thrustmaster support, not sure how long it will take them to
respond.)

Are you using the "thrustmapper" software?  I tried the last version with my
FF wheel and it took 30 seconds for it to type "Pit Out" and GPL kept
crashing whenever it was running in the background.

I too emailed Thrustmaster so far it's taken them over a year to respond.

I've since found GPLOME http://www.sunpoint.net/~casper/ which will remap
the function keys as long as your keyboard is within in reach (or if it's
not actually)

I solved that problem by switching from "timed" keystroke mode to "single"
keystroke mode.  This repeating stuff is a new one though.  If you want some
help with the speed or crashing issues, I can help.  For one thing, you
can't apply your preset to gpl.exe, you have to apply it to gplLaunch (or
whatever the program is that vroc fires up).

GPLOME maps key sequences to keys, doesn't it?  I liked having the stuff on
buttons.

Is that a thrustmapper function?  I deleted the damn thing.

So would I, but I like a stable environment more.

Yes, it's part of the Thrustmaster mapping software.  As I said, it works
fine in GPL, N3, and NLegends, it's just N4 that's giving me a problem.
