It's the humility I personally find touching...

I guess I should come on down to moroso and show the reason for the lack of
humility.    I think I still remember the track.

Could you please include the post to which you're replying to next
time? I haven't got the faintest clue what you're talking about now.

I think you should maybe check your facts before making ambitious statements
like that !!

A few quotes, the first from http://www.hawaiiracewaypark.com/school.html

Car Control Clinic -- In Your Performance Automobile

Have you always wanted to learn the limits of your own performance
automobile, so you could extract the maximum, yet do it intelligently and
safely?
Now you can, with this half-day session where you'll work with professional
race drivers to sharpen your skills and learn your machine's true
capabilities. You'll be shown all the fundamentals -- threshold braking,
*trailbraking*, and how to control the car in panic maneuvers. You'll do all
this and more under controlled conditions in our challenging autocross
course.
Car Control Clinics are offered monthly -- please call for times. And please
note -- the price of this clinic is much less than you could pay at the body
shop, so check it out!

Another, this time from
http://www.activebike.com/index/features/michelin/michelin.htm

Several riders, especially those who race, were initially confused by the
Pilot Sport.  The first impression was that the tire seemed to squirm a bit
while entering some of the faster infield turns.  This was especially true
during deeper *trailbraking*, and during hard drives out of the turn.  The
tire never lost grip or gave any hint of a problem, it just moved around
enough to cause the rider to wonder whether the suspension settings were too
soft or if there was enough air in the tires.  Straight-line stability on
the banking was extremely good, though, so the theory of low air pressure
was dismissed.

Yet another, this time from http://www.skipbarber.com/rschool.htm

Since its founding in 1975, the Skip Barber Racing School has refined this
idea into a structured curriculum of classroom and track sessions that
provide you with an understanding of the fundamentals of race craft. You'll
learn the arts of *trailbraking*, heel-and-toe downshifting, and finding the
fastest racing line; and you will get the opportunity to put those newly
developed skills to use in a systematic manner that builds your confidence
as your speed climbs.

--------------------------------

What are your qualifications to say otherwise ?
Or are you just a little troll ?

What a load of bollocks. The term trailbraking is derived from the way you
let the brakes trail off as you head into a corner, ie: still braking but
nowhere near as much as you would in a straight line

Trailbraking is simply braking into part of the turn, instead of getting all
your braking done in a straight line.  This means you can brake later, and
hence be faster.   Very very tricky in GPL though.
In F1, you will see Michael Schumacher uses trailbraking everywhere, where a
more old-style driver like Jean Alesi tends to get his braking done in a
straight line before turning in.

I actually am planning a return to florida but it will probably be next
season before I appear at moroso as moving is pretty time consuming and I
like to research the local scene to see whether I would need a different car
to be competetive in whatever class I run.   I have found the most important
research is to find out how much cheating the stewards will permit because I
remember Improved Touring Mazdas running bridgeports and BMW 325IS cars
illegally running the abs.   Most likely you will see me in an RX-7 in
either IT or Eproduction though don't count out a GT-2 Zcar or maybe Harry
at the Z-shop will let me drive his A sports racer but I'll have to complete
the car first.
