Please help with Reactor!!

O.K. I finally was able to put the Reactor into my computer. But I had a
problem so I called tech Support. They had me download VGAFIX beacause
what was happing was every time I tried to load WIN95 I'd just get a big
messed up blue screen. So after I put the VGAFIX in, I put the reactor
back in. But now everytime I load WIN95, it keeps detecting my old video
card. Everytime I keep removing it, from WIN95. I don't know how to
diable it from inside on the card and I don't want to try and take it
out because there is a white wire connecting to it that leads up to what
I belive is my Joystick port. Can anyone help me as what to do? Just for
ha ha's I went to the dos prompt and tried loading N2 Rendition. I get
this error message but it disappers really fast and the game loads. The
game looks great cause I can run it with everything on and get very good
frame rate. Am I playing the game in Rendition mode? Oh, one more thing,
after the big messed up blue screen comes on, I hit Alt, Control, and
Delete to reset the computer. THEN on the second try it detects my old
card. If I plug my monitor cord into my old video card slot, win loads
up just fine. Can someone please help me!?!
Thanks,
Matt

Best solution I can think right now is to remove the old graphics card.  If
you have cable going to the joystick port (???), remove the joystic port as
well and use game port on your sound card.

But before you do that, reset the resolution in Windows to 600X480.  That
makes loading new drivers a lot easier.

Hope this helps.

<<Just for ha ha's I went to the dos prompt and tried loading N2
Rendition. I get this error message but it disappers really fast and the

That error means you are loading the wrong batch file. There are
two Rendition batch files for N2, and the only difference is that one
tries to load a video from the CD-ROM drive and the other doesn't. If
you don't have the N2 CD in the drive, you get the error.

Do you mean you have two video cards on your machine? The Reactor
must be by itself. What kind of machine is it? Also, how old is your
system BIOS? A BIOS as much as two years old can cause you grief with
this card... trust me.
In case anyone is curious, I've also been using a driver for the
Reactor with NT 4.0. It's a Rendition driver, but Intergraph hasn't
jumped on it yet. It works... that's about all. No more 640x480 in 16
colors. It's not impressive and is obviously in need of further work,
but I can't find any bugs yet and it's at least something. They've
actually been using it at Intergraph on their own machines with
Reactors/Intense 3D 100's for a while. It's available for download. If
anyone is curious I can give you the URL. Intergraph isn't telling their
customer's about it, but they've been using it.

"(Rendition is) about at alpha on the NT drivers and close to beta on
the 95 drivers."  Intergraph probably is using some early alpha NT
drivers, hence the lack of polish.  BTW, there were some drivers dated
11/13/96 posted on Paperbit's NT Drivers Page which apparently "do not
work on any cards in the market.  I believe that they were some early
dib engine drivers from some work MS was doing on some early and
incompatible versions of the chip.  They should be disregarded.  I am
trying to get them to delete them from the site."

This is coming from a contact at Rendition, so take it for what it's
worth.
