Hi!
My mate and I are 12 races into a full season of 100% race distance races head
to head on our respective PCs. With races lasting anything up to two hours,
with only pit stops for relief, I tend to find that my hands and wrists start
to ache quite easily. The symptoms are usually numbness in one or both hands,
with aches after the race has finished.
When this comes on, I usually raise my wrists off the desk so that I'm playing
with just my fingertips, and whenever I can raise either my left hand off the
"wheel" or my right hand free (usually by quickly swapping hands) I do so.
Also, make good use of pit stops! exercise your fingers, hands and wrists in
the 5 or so seconds that are available.
Alternately, get a joystick!
Cheers, Gareth Marlow
