HELP to watch nascar races offline DAT(mpeg) extentions

I would like to watch some nascar races without loading Nascar or Multi. I
see them listed as "dat" files and it says their mpeg but 3 of 3 players
that I have don't recognize the format and I know there must be one out
there. Does anyone know what can be used. (besides a sledgehammer)
