Hi all,

I recently found a copy of Sports Car GT in a bargin bin and bought it. I
haven't done any racing sims for a long time, but I have always been a fan
of GT racing so I thought I would give this a try.

After searchiing the newgroups and web, it appears that there are, or at
least have been quit a bit of patches / addons for this sim.  I was hoping
that someone might be able to give me a quick list of "Must Haves" and maybe
a couple of good locations to download from.

Thanks,

Kent

Good SCGT sites are disappearing rapidly since most of those people are now
doing F1 2002 mods instead.  But one of the best is still up: go to Sports
Car GT Central at http://home.freeuk.net/jrknight/scgt/.

I'd say the Advanced Options Patch and the Plus Patch are the must haves
to install first, as is the old Nurburging - heckofalot of fun in this
game. Check out speedsims.com and bhmotorsports.com, and the links from
there.

SCGT is still alive and well-we have not all gone to the f1mod, besides there
are LOTS more tracks and cars in SCGT...BUT TO EACH HIS OWN-no flames
required...as advised check out Speedsims.com...and Racesimcentral.com both
have sections dedicated to SCGT where you can get any questions answered...

As much as I like GTR and the other F1 mods, I have to admit that SCGT was
one of the first old games that I put back on my PC after upgrading to a
larger hard drive recently.   Well okay, maybe second.  ;o)  It still has a
lot going for it that no other games have yet.  I like the all of the "real"
tracks better than the track selection in any other game, and the class
based and time based racing is something that was apparently not possible to
completely implement in GTR.
