Hi There

I am a new owner of NASCAR racing. Does anyone have any tips on car setup
or where I could find some useful ones.

Also I'm looking for someone in the Toronto area to race against via modem

Thanks

Hello everyone,

There has been a lot of questions regarding setups, car sets,
utilities, etc. regarding IndyCar II and NASCAR Racing. So, I set off
to create a web page that would be used as an Index to all of the hot
spots on the Internet for those programs.  Here is the URL:

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/IntersoftCorp/

Let me know what you think.  If you have anything to add you can e-mail
me from that web page.

Hope you all enjoy this.  Don't forget to add it to your favorite
places and if you would like to link it to your site drop me a line, I
would like to know.

There is a book published by Sybex called "Nascar Racing Strategies
and Secrets" which might be what you are looking for. The ISBN is
0-7821-1827-5. It has an in-depth chapter on setting up the car, plus
other chapters on racing, pit strategy, tracks and some other stuff.
The chapter on setting up the car is good, but the individual track
information is a little too brief, particularly on the dreaded Watkins
Glen / Sears Point circuits (I guess an entire book could be written
about those two !).

The book comes with a CD with about 10 Mb of stuff which can easily be
found by visiting your friendly racing sim web and ftp sites. A number
of setups for all the tracks are on the CD. I can't say whether
they're any good though because a) I haven't tried them yet and b) I
certainly don't consider myself an expert at this game :)

I can't recommend this as a must buy, but I think it is worth having
for someone who is new to the game - I wish I had it a year ago when I
first got it ! Check it out in a bookshop first.
