arcady Carmageddon, but I loved Carmageddon 1&2 for it's fun gameplay.
Carm2 was even better with smoother gameplay. However, I found myself
often choosing the excellent handling cars an not wanting to smash up
the opponents and pedestrians. Instead, I wanted to do the amazing car
acrobatics and stunts and pro driving that the engine allows you to do,
but the "game structure" limits (I have to kill a couple opponents and
periodically run over peds in order to have enough time to drive
around). So I kept wishing for the driving freedom of Carmageddon but
not the rails of NFS or the real car tweaking of the *** sims.
Does Midtown Madness seem like it would fit what I'm looking for? Can
you contrast it and compare it to Carmageddon?
