Even though the manual showed a 3 axis calibration screen in windows, I
could never get it to show up that way.  Alway just a two axis with the
brake & throttle sharing an axis.  But then I saw something at the bottom of
the windows control panel screen where you can test the axis'.  It said no
preset loaded....so I opened up the Thrustmapper and chose the 3 axis GPL
preset I have  and left the Thrustmapper open.  Went back to the control
panel and there were now 3 separate(split) axis that all worked separately.
Not a biggie...after all, I already knew I was getting 3 axis in the
games...just felt odd that windows never seemed to see the wheel/pedals like
the games did.  Another mystery solved.

Dave,

separately.

Interested, I went back to Windows' CP and such and checked my options.
Nothing at the bottom of the window where I can test the axis, I pressed my
pedals.  Would you believe it, one axis for the wheel itself, then another
for the brake.  Then beside these is vertical bar, below which is the number
3.  I  pressed the gas, and up goes the mark.  So it seems I now have all
three, without TMCP being loaded.  Strange.

I noticed my system had a horrible memory leak. I discovered it was the
Thrustmapper software. This was with Windows Me and it also does it with XP.

which version of the thrustmapper software were you using and how did you
detect the memory leak?

I loaded Task manager within Windows XP and took a snapshot.  I monitored
the memory Delta setting.  The memory usage for Thrustmapper kept growing
and growing until I ran out of memory even with a 1Gb swap file . :) hehe

It does the same in Win98/Me.  I had version 1.33

Are you talking about the Thrustmapper program itself, or the launch utility
that sits in your system tray waiting for you to launch an associated
program?
