Here we are :-)

This is after the Legends Cars Grand Nationals.

Yes, I have a life outside of the newsgroup.

Yes, that trophy is over 7ft tall.

Hi Jacob,

Are those the Legends Grand Nationals at Sears Point? Didn't we, the
Brits kick ass in the form of Tick Steward at that competition? :o) What
did you win that trophy for, it sure is a big one! :) The Legends series
in the UK is officially the fastest growing motorsport (without
manufacturer support) ever. I can understand the attraction, it seems
like a lot of fun! Congrats.

They're running those little suckers over there?  Cool.  Just curious, are
they running them on ovals like they do here, or are they taking 'em out on
the road courses?

C***te's contribution to the international motorsports community.  I like
that contribution more than the "buy the name to the track" one. :-)

Oh yeah! They've been running under the Eurocar package for 4 years now as the
Old Spice Legends. Very popular. In fact this years Legends champion, Tick
Steward went over to Sears Point for the World Finals and beat everyone :)

The Brits officially rool at Legands :) I'm not sure if we run them on ovals
here. I've only followed the 'Old Spice' sponsored series because it got such
good TV coverage.

Apparently their is a series over there run by the same group that does them
over here, and they run 1/4 mile ovals, in addition to the Old Spice series
that runs on Brands Hatch, Silverstone and Donnington (among others).  I
looked up some sites on the 'net, and found out quite a bit!  Over here it's
mainly 1/4 mile ovals.

I knew they had gotten pretty big here in the US, judging by the big fields
at races I've been to in C***te, but had no idea that they had gone
"across the pond" and in such a big way.  That's really cool.  I imagine one
of these would be really fun to drive at some of the road courses.

Hey, now we need a Legends Car sim, with the 1/4 miles AND the road courses
:-)
