Hey,
Does anyone know where I can get a White "Ball" style shifter knob,
with the 4-Speed H pattern on it??

How is the original ACT LABS shifter know attached to the stick?  If its
threaded most of the aftermarket knobs have adapters for different threads.
A standard Hurst shift knob is 3/8-16 I belive, but I would bet the ACT LABS
shifter is metric.

The shaft on the AL Shifter is 5/16" but I'm not concerned with the fit
just yet. I'll make it work, I just need to find a white ball knob, with
the H pattern 4-speed on it.. (The knob that came with the shifter is a
pistol grip type that just slides on the smooth 5/16" shaft)

Well if a real one would work then try Summit Racing, Jegs, or maybe even
some of the chain stores like Auto Zone.

Just to add, You can get a Real Hurst H-Pattern Shifter at most
Checker/Champion auto stores, at least around the midwest. They
usually sell for about $25 retail.
Also, I have ordered a number of Hurst Parts including just the knob
off of ebay. There are currently a couple for auction there now,
listed as mid 60's GTO shift knobs.
Good Luck

Great! Tomorrow I'll get up to Daytona, and the closest Pep Boys! I've
checked the local Auto Zone, Parts Plus, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc. with not
much luck. They all carry knobs, but none have a white ball.. Mostly the
black 8-Ball, and various other knobs. If nothing else, I'll settle for
an aluminum ball I saw at Auto Zone, but really want to get the Nascar
thing going on ;-) Thanks for all replies! Mick

Have you tried any local car dealerships?  If you have a good GM Goodwrench
parts department, they MAY have a Hurst white ball shifter knob.  I thought
for sure that Checker Auto (or whatever they call it on the east coast)
would have that.  Good luck!

Is this what you're looking for? http://www.performancenmore.com/hurst.htm
I bought the black one and it fit's perfectly on my RS Shifter...

I'd love to have one for my Corvette!
Nothing nicer looking than a big white shift knob
with a black interior. But I've yet to find one for a 6 speed
Vette. There was a company that made one for the Camaro.
But the reverse pattern is wrong. Vettes have the ZF German box.

Jegs or Summit has the "Classic" style Hurst knobs with the pattern engraved.
Don't get the "New" Hurst knob with the clear plastic pattern insert. They
aren't the same size. (new one is much smaller)

VERY cool.  Would any of you mind sending me pictures of your Shifters
after you have changed the knobs?  I've been thinking of doing that
myself.

Sady no, GM doesn't offer one.
I've looked nationwide and there isn't one to be had
for the ZF 6-speed Vette. Any manufacturers here? ;-)

I'll buy you the shifter knob in exchange for a GPL Shifter! (USB please)
lol :-)
