GTR2K2 Help!

by WillyB41 » Mon, 23 Dec 2002 10:55:00

Ever seen a grown man cry?? I've been loving the heck out of this mod for a
week now with no glitches. Played last night for several hours. Shut the comp
off and went to bed. This morning, I turn it on, go to GTR, and no matter what
I do, GTR crashes to the desktop when the loading track status bar is just
about to go from black and white to color. I tried creating a different player,
changing display resolutions, uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing helps.
Anybody have any ideas??

YES!  We could put on a show...!!  Get some dancers and some old musicians
and raise some money for the children......what??  wrong idea???

try checking the little things like maybe the pitcrew animation got set
to high...(set it to low)
reduce the # of cars...perhaps you got a file corrupted last night and when
the sim gets to that file...it crashes.
(heck there are always TWO things I tell everyone to check first and I can't
remember the 2nd item )
{bad Dave!!}
You did keep the zip file right?

GTR2K2 Help!

Hi Dave, I have always had pit crew set to high. Never had a problem. I have
the number of cars set to 9 (frame rate issue) and never had a problem. I
completely uninstalled F12K2 and deleted the entire folder. Then reinstalled.
So if there was a corrupted file, that shouldn't be a problem. The only thing I
haven't done is delete registry entries which I assume F12K2 leaves. BTW, I did
get the separate pedal axis' working that I had asked about before. And now
this goes and ruins my day.

Well, I got it working again (Oh thank you God!). Had to delete my player
folder and start fresh. Weird though 'cause even when I tried creating a new
player when this first happened, it would still crash. This time I uninstalled
everything and deleted everything else and started from square one.
Thanks for your time, Dave. I really appreciate it.
