Hi,

What do you think of the trouble one has to go through to get out of
the dirt. I think it sometimes it is verry anyoing how difficult it is
to get out of the sand.

Please reply !!

Have you seen a F1 race? Do they get out of the sand easy. You want a

You're lucky you can get out at all.  99% of the time, the cars in real
life do NOT get out of the sand.

Witness Damon Hill at Silverstone among MANY others.

Cars don't go too far with a broken wheel, either....

Well if it was real life you would be stuck there.  Better to be able to get
out than be a speactator.

Maybe it's even harder in reality ! As far as I know Microprose has done quite some investigating on how
Formula 1 cars act in order to make GP2 look as real as possible.

There is a solution:

brake earlier, turn in earlier, practice more.

Hi Gabrie:

I agree with you.  It's a MAJOR pain.  But this is a simulator, so
that is the way it's supposed to be.  I do wish the corner marshals
would give me a little more time before they hoisted me out.

I was glad to find out I COULD get out of the "traps". Real F1 cars
seem to get stuck in them quite often.

In real life you get stuck and do not come out.

I have found that it helps to hold the clutch in to keep the revs
high, and then dump into 1st or reverse, and then repeat as necessary
until you are out of the trap, or grass.

Hi Gabrie,

I usually find that reversing out of the sand is the easiest way to
get out! Give it a try. It helps if you have the track plotted in your
mirrors so you can see where you're going. Also, Turn off F3: Steering
help, and learn to use the "spin recovery gear" for those situations
where you can't reverse out.

Hope this helps
