Yellows seem a little better, though. I also noticed better handling, I
dropped two seconds off my Long Beach time in just a few laps. I like the rev
light, and noticed from the engine sound that I naturally shift about that
point already from habit...maybe good on my part? I noticed that I was
getting decent frame rates for my low budget computer, too. I'm sending
another post on that subject, though.

Overall impression:

I like the patched version.

Please set us up with the Full Win95/Dos/Mac CD, though.

Thanks,

Craig Marcho

<...>

I second that whole passage- the car "feels" like what real indy cars
"look" like on television... that is, it isn't quite like racing on
ice anymre, there is a larger flux-area where you can push or pull
back on the envelope with the car. Sure, you can still spin it, but
you can really feel the spin coming now, and can play the envelope a
bit more. You can, with a little practice, even throw the back-end
around for a half-spin just like we see when drivers do 180s on the
track to get racing after a spin. Before it was just like pulling a
slot machine for me- I'd do a 360, or nothing, but never a controled
hop.

The car feels like it is really on the ground now. I finally can start
racing again.

: Okay, thanks to Cie Phillips the patch is available via the internet.
: It can be found at his homepage.  I have also including it in my
: homepage and via ftp.  Check the following URLs:

:         http://www.teleplex.net/cie/ICR100_2.ZIP
:         http://www.teleport.com/~mcarver/autosim.htm
:         ftp://ftp.teleport.com/users/mcarver/AutoSim/icr100_2.zip

I guess I was hit harder than I thought by the HandOfGod at Cleveland.
I coulda swore I updated my website to include the real patch
(icr100_2.zip).  Apparently I did not get the correct file updated on my
server.  If you experienced any trouble, I apologize.

I believe that's your HW/Univbe. I've heard some reports of flashing
tachometer
in VGA, too ...

Main thing?!?!? The main thing for this patch was to fix the bugs!!!
And since it didn't do that, the patch is virtually worthless!
Granted, I welcome the improved handling and the rev light, but they
weren't
the reason we waited 8 months for this 'patch'.
