the hopes of improving Rally Champ 2000 frame rates. Surprisingly, the
performance got worse, even with the "v3driverfix" in the ral.cfg. Even at
800x600 with all options off.
Last night, I turned off A3D audio (I have a Diamond Monster MX300) and now
it's running great. I have the latest (2.25) A3D drivers, and the latest
Monster MX300 drivers, and apparently RC doesn't like them.
I also found the sound a bit better without A3D. The engine is more throaty.
The co-driver voice isn't quite as realistic, but it's fine.
Anyway, if you're having frame rate problems in RC, you might want to try
this.
