Tried Nascar 2 on the Heat Net tonight...lotta fun.  I was a little suprised
to see it not busier there.  Maybe enough people aren't clued into it yet.
Go to www.heat.net.  The software and the *** is free.  Check it out.

I *strongly* suspect the people who are "clued in" are racing on TEN!  :)

Heh that's a funny one. Before the NROS I was testing with my racing partner
on Heat.  Back in September.  We were only 2 on the track, and the result
was excessive warping, and not fun at all. We were trying to test seriously
but each time we were warping everywhere.  But now, for only 13$ per month
you can see the same thing, but with 20 drivers, and updating to 32 in not
much time.  No warp at all for me, with a simple 28.8 modem, way up in
northern Canada.

So why is heat.net without any Simracers. Warps.  With only 2, yes TWO
drivers on the track. Heck for 4pack of cigarettes CAN or a six-pack of good
beer I can race for 1 month against the best stockcar virtual drivers on the
planet ;-)

You use American currency in Northern Canada?  Here in southern Canada
that translates into $20.00/month.  And not everybody has 28.8 modems.
Warp can be a problem with these IP Internet *** networks but I've
had some really great (translate *FUN*) racing.

It is possible to have a lot of *FUN* racing on Heat or Kali.....even if
you are "clued in".

I don't see where nacar2 is listed in the featured games section.

Internet latency, or lost packets will cause the game to lose track of
your car from time to time.  It will cause it to flash on and off and
also to quickly jump around the track.  We call this warping.

NROS software + ten's high speed servers vitually eliminate this.  With
Kali and Heat you just have to hope for a good connection.  I have a
cable modem which helps my situation.....
