DTR or Sprint Cars and Win XP

DTR or Sprint Cars and Win XP

Has anyone gotten DTR or Sprint Cars to run under XP? I have the exact same
problem with both programs. "Error initializing sound". I've adjusted
hardware acceleration with no luck. I've read the faq on Ratbag's site but
nothing there. Does anyone have any ideas? They ran fine under 98.  I
haven't bought Leadfoot yet.

   I 'would' advise putting Win98 back in..but that will only get me yelled
at!

Thanks, that helps. At least I know it works. I just downloaded the newest
XP drivers at Creative but still no go. I'm not ready to give up yet.

In the options editor select the box '-no checksum on sound' or something
like that, and you should be good to go.

I have DTR installed on windows XP and have no problems with sound.
If you perform dxdiag do you pass the directsound tests?
I do have problems with the resolution always defaulting to 640x480, the
workaround in the readme files doesn't solve this for me.
