Todd,
My advice is: Get your receipt and the original packing materials
and take it back. Sorry to give you the bad news, but I had a TM FF
about 6 months ago and had nothing but trouble. The wheel would pop
and grind against its gear. The FF would turn the wheel hard right
after it got hot (after 30 minutes). There was ample discussion (read
bashing) of this wheel on this forum about that time.
I don't know if your wheel has or will have any of these problems...
perhaps TM has fixed them and re-released it, but i doubt it. Check
with others though.
Myself... I have a Saitek R4 Force wheel... its OK, not great. The
pedals are horrid, but the wheel itself is pretty precise, as is the
MS-FF (The Saitek uses the same internals as the MS-FF). I went with
the Saitek cause I want a FF wheel that had a stick shifter and paddle
shifters.
Anyway, you'll find ample opinions and pro's and con's of all the FF
wheel out there... It end's up being what YOU like best.
That said, I *did* want the like the TM FF, but it simply was not
engineered or built well at all.
That's my $.02... maybe worth less ;-)
