Unless I press the acc fully, in automatic mode, the cars keep changing up
and down instead of accelerating ?

Is this just a bug, or is there some fix for it ???

(Yes I know it will go away if I select manual..)

Had a similar permanent problem earlier when the brakes were***.
Helped with some upper deadzone, so thats not it anymore....

Controller:
Wingman FF Wheel.

Doses it have anything to do with the terrain or 'agricultural debris' (cow
shit) on the road?   The terrain has varying resistance which can drop you
gears.

No , I dont think thats it.
Looks like a bug in the program, happens allmost every time I accelerate.
As soon as the car has changed up the program decides the rews are too low,
so it shifts back down again, and now the rews are too high, so up a gear
again etc. etc. .....
In most cases it does eventually stay in the higher gear and continue
accelerating, but I loose a lot of time when this happens...

Is your gearbox set to the right?

I don't have a clue why your having this problem. I don't remember ever
hearing of it before so I wouldn't call it a bug.

Maybe try posting this at the RC forum at High Gear www.simracingnews.com

that happens when you damage your gearbox. same thing happened to me. try to
repair your gearbox before the stage and i think it will be fine.

cheers

No I am using the middle gear ratio.
Changing the gear ratio will off course affect the acceleration but it
should not confuse the automatic shifting.

Been driving some more, think the problem is worse on the A8 cars, and when
driving uphill ?

There was already a post about the same problem.
No solution though, but at least I am not the only one seeing the problem
;-)

I think I had a similar problem at some point, so you are not alone.
In my case I think the problem was due to having unchecked the single
axis mode for the pedals (LWFF) in controller set-up (as I use in GPL)
and then not setting up each pedal in the set up within RC2000.   I
definitely got rid of the problem initially by using the single axis
option for the pedals but then left foot braking is not possible -
mind you touching the brakes with the way they're modelled is not very
useful for delicate car control!!!!>

Add your comments to the subject at the HG forum and it will move to the top
of the list. Better chance of getting an answer. I'll send you an e-mail of
someone from MF who hopefully can fix the poblem for you.
