I laughed, I cried, a watched some fantastic racing.  I watched a pile up
very similar to when I lost the rear end from third position coming out of
turn 4 in N4 Daytona 500 and I took out most of the field.  I watched DW cry
when his little brother won his first race.  Now I'm waiting to hear on the
conditions of TS and Big E.  It's going to be one hell of a year - both good
and bad.

Apologies, I forgot about those that are taping the show.

No big deal. The winner of the race seems so unimportant now. I'm happy for
Mikey, but this will always be a bittersweet win for him. I know it would
have meant so much to him to celebrate the win with Dale Sr.

I didn't know when I posted this.  Waltip and Dale Jr., should've been able
to have a celebration today for a 1-2-3 finish of epic proportions.  Now, I
can't imagine Waltrip even thinking of his first win after so many years
with any real level of satisfaction.

Probably the saddest, and happiest, day of racing i've ever seen. I
was so happy for the Waltrips - you could see and hear how happy
Darrel was in the booth. But the words he uttered - "I just hope
Dale's alright...".

I was never an DE fan, or for that matter a huge NASCAR fan, but I
know this is similar to Senna's death back in 94. And with his son
finishing second, as well.... too much.

But racing is racing, and Waltrip won and won well. It's a shame that
this Daytona 500 will be remembered for different reasons.

Farewell, Old  Ironhead

It's just so ***ing sad. Sorry about the language, but it's just... I
can't believe it. I didn't even like DE much - but he was a legend.
And the circumstances are so wrong... I don't know how to feel.

Farewell, #3, you will be missed by all racing fans.
