I was thinking it would be cool to make movies of your replays.  Have an
editor so you can take segments from different views and put them together,
that way you could distribute them as an *.avi or some such file.  Here's an
example of what it would do:

You wreck, it was a good wreck.  So you fire up your replay editor.
First you take the view from your suspension(until another car hit it and
breaks it).  You then go back to the beginning of the wreck and you use a
user controlled camera, so you pan the camera and zoom in/out to catch the
full feel of the wreck (maybe you could also have fly bys as the wreck is
happening).  After you edit it to your liking you can save it.  You could
also export it to *avi, *.mov etc.

Ideas, comments?(no flames please)

This is a fantastic idea. However, it also one that many a person has asked
for and heard nothing. I have long been saying that in order to take online
racing to the next level, we need the ability to have replays converted to
.avi files. I guess we can only hope that this will be an option in N3.

Interesting idea.

Have you heard of a game called Driver? It's along the lines of what
you've been suggesting.
It's out later this year (I think) and it's from Reflections.
