can anyone reccomend for me a good ISP for internet
*** like Nascar3 and NROS? for under $20/month?
I am currently trying ATT Worldnet...they are pretty fast
but I get lots of busy signals and disconnects for no reason.
Thanks

Cheap, too!  Used them the other night instead of my usual ISP for some
online N3 fun.  Absolutely no problems.

The box said "Windows 95 or better", so I installed LINUX!

Before I switched to cable, I used Netcom and was very happy with my
connections.

Netzero is free. Do they force you to view adverti***ts
or anything?  Most free ISP's are not fast for online
*** as they usually have programs that have to
keep running in the background that track your online
usage.

Not really as it will depend on where you live, distance and switch type
between you and you isp, etc. I would highly suggest DSL if you can get it
or cable if you cant.

This isn't what you want to hear, but...

Cable.  Or ADSL.

Really :)

N3 on-line isn't much fun via modem.

I can only assume it's not on your list because it's not available yet.
Just make sure you don't sign a long-term dial-up contract!  (Those poor
people buying free PC's with 3 year internet connections by modem :(  )

Satellite doesn't work for on-line *** due to the uplink/ip header
conversion latency, so that's not an option at all regardless of their
speed.

I strongly disagree with this one.  At 56K, I have no problems with N3
online.  You just won't want to HOST is all.
