LFFW question for the experts

I have the Logitech Formula Force USB wheel and noticed the forces
have become weaker as of late.  I have the latest drivers and have
some feedback during testing the buttons but they are weak.  I thought

maybe the wheel has gone bad and replaced it with a new unit but there
is no difference.  I mainly play GPL and yes I did edit the core.ini ,
and N3.  Although there are forces present they are very weak.
My system
AMD k6 400
SB Live
128 meg ram
Voodoo 3 3000

I just got my LWFF,  so I'm no expert.   The feedback from the test
page seem quite strong to me, but since mine is new, I have nothing to
compare to.

Unfortunately I still can't get Nascar3 to recognize my wheel at all - FF or
not.

Are you folks using Game Profiles at all?  If so, would you be willing to
share them? Thanks.

Andy,
Wow, I'm not sure what to suggest.  I am not even loading the Wingman
software at startup, nor using a game profile.
Does your wheel show up under Game Contollers in Win9x?  The only
thing I can think of, is maybe try the Clear Calibration Utility from
the Gadgets page.

After you clear the registry, set the wheel up again, then go try it
in N3.

Did you change back to the retail (CD) drivers by accident?

1) Be sure to get the latest drivers with the "Launch Logitech Software
Update" option.

2) I have my control panel setting at 130% for over-all and dampening, and
100% for spring. Also, make sure you turn off spring tension in FF games.

3) Make sure core.ini has the following settings:

[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1                 ; Use FF if device has it
force_feedback_damping = 40.000000       ; force feedback damping
coefficient
force_feedback_latency = 0.000000        ; force feedback latency (secs)
max_steering_torque = 225.000000         ; steering torque in N*in giving
max device force

Nope. No profiles here.

1) Plug wheel into USB.

2) reboot

3) Go to the control panel properties and make sure the wheel is on ID#1,
Over all and dampening forces set to 130%, spring force set to 100%. Then
make sure you uncheck the box for spring effects in FF games. Check the box
for combined axis.

4) run N3

5) Go to controller options within the game and calibrate joystick #1.

6) Assign your buttons and axis as you wish.

That is all I did and it worked, it should for you. There are no
moving parts which will make this procedure complicated :-)
