Are you getting the dashboard in 3d mode or software?  I'm not sure if it
uses d3d or ogl, but in software you can always get the dash.

I just did this, and am fairly happy with it even though I nly have a
P200 (i.e., meaning many games a re still CPU-limited). My games seem
a bit smoother and I can run them in 800x600 with no loss in
frame-rate.

red baron 3d gives you a better "cockpit" view with a 12mb v2 as opposed to an
8 meg........

This is a daft argument - surely it was obvious from the start that anyone
who bought an 8mb card was going to get f**ked sooner or later and should
have got a 12mb one instead.
