Hmm. ICR2 Vs. Nascar? You will get just as many opinions as there are
people reading this group.  There are not really that many new details
in ICR2. It just depends on what kind of driving you enjoy more.
Driving ICR2 is a precise, non-forgiving kind of experience so you can't
get frustrated easy.  Is it worth the money? In my opinion, yes.  But
that doesn't mean that it will replace Nascar.  It is always better just
to get them all. :)

Opinions on the T2, DEFINATELY!!  These games are totally different when
driving with a good wheel/pedal combo.  If I were you, I would put the
T2 much higher on the priority list than ICR2.  The wheel will give
Nascar a whole new shelf life.
As for the T2 specifically, Thrustmaster is my personal favorite.  I
have one of the original T1s.  When I blew a pedal spring,
Thrustmaster's technical support was excellent.  BTW, I understand that
they fixed the spring breaking problem with the T2.

I own both ICR2 and NASCAR. The games compliment each other. If you like
driving road courses you will love ICR2. If you prefer only ovals, you
may find ICR2 requires too much practice to provide long term fun.

I play both of them way too much. I spend around 8-12 hours each week
driving in one or the other.

Jeff,

I had ICR1 and then bought ICR2 as soon as it was available. The
improvement in "playing enjoyment" is indeed huge because you don't
have the trouble with that stupid CCs anymore. The AI has been greatly
improved, ICR2 is one of my three favorites (NASCAR and GP2 also on
the podium). I recommend buying it.

I've seen and used the T1: Not worth the money. I saw and tested a bit
the T2 in a shop where it was installed for testing with GP2. It looks
better than the T1, esp. the pedals are much better. But I don't like
the gear shifter, it's as bad as ever and the wheel feels sloppy. I
have a TSW for more than 1.5 years now and I think there's hardly
something better on the market. I would never buy a T1 or T2...

Bye,
    Hartmut
