demo I thought I would d/l the 3dfx version ofX-car. Can someone give me
a laymans version how to install this turd. I followed the instr. and
tried all this in plain DOS but for some reason the damn thing wont
install correctly. Thanks guys, going back to the F1 now :)  Tony

That's the problem...Try simply unzipping the file using the -d
option, and allow it to create its directories...FWIW, the BAT file
doesn't work.

Cheers!

In a message dated 97-09-02 20:07:01 EDT, you write:

No they don't, and even Bethesda aknowledged this shortcoming.
This has to do with whether someone knows something about
computers (which most don't), and the way both the batch and
zip files were assembled for distribution.

What I *should* have said was "the bat file doen't work properly."

Cheers!

If I turn the wheel 1/8th an inch, the car swerves off the track into the
wall.  I've adhusted the sterring lock, ratio and etc in the game with no
luck.  I've calibrated the wheel to get as high of numbers as possible
with no luck.

The ratio helped a little, but made the car sluggish in reaction time.
