hi,

i happen to agree with and disagree with most people on Usenet at some
point or another.  I can't killfile them all.  I have on more than one
occasion been gleaned something from one of his posts or (funnily
enough) one of the ensuing debates / heated arguments.

I do not intend to killfile DGF or anyone else  because of someone
else's recommendation.   I think i can make my own list of idiot posts
to avoid.

Personally i find the endless CARTCARTCART type posts to be a bit
boring now, but i appreciate the sentiment behind them and still
manage to smile when i see them.  Killfiling them will ruin a bit of
the sentiment of this group.

Just my 0.02c

Regards all,
istoff

Well, that is a bit steep. Still, I'd happily bung British income tax
up a little to pay for decent schools and hospitals. Our university
system is a mess - you have to pay a proportion of the fees, according
to your means... but not in Scotland, and Wales is thinking about
abolishing the fees too. In fact, one of the candidates for the leader
of the Tories wants to abolish them. A Conservative who believes in
more state funding... isn't the UK great!

That's still a lot better than here in Canada. You pay 100% here,
unless you qualify for a scholarship. Lot's of people come out of
University with huge debts that take many years to pay off. That's one
of the reasons the rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.
