I have just installed Nascar 2 on my new PC, but I cannot get any sound.
When I go to sound setup it freze my PC!
I can at least drive it , that I cannot do with GP2.
The screen is only black with GP2, why?
All other (new) games work OK!

I had a similar problem.  It was a while ago, and so I don't want to try and
recall exactly what I did to alleviate the problem in fear that I would steer
you wrong.  I do know the solution was after I had read all readme and or setup
files on the CD.  I believe they discussed sound setup issues.  The conflict
was the setup of the sound system on my computer, even though all other games I
had worked OK.

You need to run the "soundset.exe" file for N2 to detect your sound card.

Hope that solves your problem!

mine did the same thing - i fixed it by putting the universal vesa driver files
IN the nascar directory...  that got the sound to work and i avoided the lock up
in the setup by not doing the sound test... just set it up using auto-detect and
went to the game...
