Anybody with any knowledge of what the values and meanings of the
(tracks).txt file, please leave me a message via here or e-mail. I would
like to use Nazarath and Milwaukee from Indycar on my Nascar v1.2 but it
aint happening. Any help appreciated. Hint to all. Change the value of
SPDWY in Talladega from 1 to 0 in the first of three values. This takes
off your restrictor plate in the superspeedway. Hot tires though.

There is a helluva lot more to "converting" tracks from ICR to NCR or the
other way around......

Basically it cannot be done!

GOD BLESS YOU!!  Ever since I added v1.2, I haven't been able to get over
190mph out of a car I had set up that was turning consistent 197mph laps
with a full tank of gas!!  I knew they slowed the speeds down for
Talladega, but my qual speeds were 3-4 mph below the last place car.
Without the restrictor plate, I have to bring the opponent's strength up

If you up the RELS value it will be more competitive. RELS is a
percentage. Talladega is only set at 98% in the TALADEGA.TXT file. Plus
drafting a faster
group will improve your speeds even more. Not sure how high you can raise
the RELS percentage though.... Just figured it out.... Anybody with
knowledge about the values and limits of the text files please post your
info on this subject.

Thanks,

What's the difference between changing the RELS value and changing the
opponent strength value?

Not much but I believe you surpass the limit on the nascar game by using
the rels. Not sure though... Still Experimenting. Its adds Opp % to RELS -
100. I am interpreting a Papyrus Tech's quote on the Papyrus bbs. So 120
+ 120 - 100 = 140% which cannot be achieved on the game it self. If it
dont work let me know. Like I said, I'm still experimenting.

The Rels value can also be used to lessen the strength of the opponets
only on one particular track, especially helpful in the Championship
Seasons.
I know somebody out there knows what at least some of these values mean.
Share them with us please...

In the SPDWY the first value is the restrictor plate, the next two are
green lap pits for computer cars. If you set it to 1 2 the cars will pit
every lap or every other lap. Anybody else experimenting let me know. Got
a program called
"nas-nite.exe", with a hex editor you can change all the tracks to NIGHT
tracks.  Pretty interesting.

Leave me mail with any info or questions.
