Are the engine sounds modeled correctly? Do the FC & TF
cars crackle when they idle? I guess the reason I ask is because
an engine sound similar to N2 just won't cut it. I want to be able to
crank up the speakers and scare the neighbors dog when I make
a run :-)

Also, can someone explain how you can have low ET with
a low top speed? I saw some times posted here of like
5.2 secs with a top speed of 240mph. I doubt they lifted at
the end of the run :-)

Thanks.

YES, BIG TIME

In the real world, some teams will de-tune the engine so it makes less
power, mostly on lanes that have less traction.  This yields less wheel spin
at launch and at clutch lockup, yet top speed is a bit less.  If you can get
the settings right, your tires stick and you can get to the stripe before
the other guy, even though they are going faster than you.

I gues I have some work to do. My latest et with the Mcguires rail is
5.5 at 303.1 mph.

Barry, you have motivated me to push harder! You have forced
me to run 4.96 with a best mph of 317! If this continues I will really
have to get serious!

PLEASE let us know what you are doing to get those numbers. The highest hp
engine that I have been able to build is just over 4500 with about 3000
lb-ft of torque. That has gotten me in the 5.6 range at about 260 or so.
