Hi all,

I got a new Compaq Presario 1621 (AMD K-6 233-MMX) notebook and I am having
problems using PCMCIA cards on DOS. The problem is that, this machine uses
the new Texas TI-1131 CardBus and the enabler that comes with my EXP Game
Card does not recognizes it. Besides this, Compaq does not send Card
Services for DOS for this machine. Tried their support, but just got a
"don't have" aswer, try EXP". Tried EXP but got "there are lots of notebooks
out there, we can't support all, the manufater needs to give you Card
Services". I kind of agree with EXP.

I know the card works, because I have it working on Win 95. Has someone had
a clue on what to do? Already tried PhoenixCard Services 4.01 but it does
not came with a TI-1131 support, only to 1130 (does not work, I tried). I
really want to play the DOS games not from a Win95 DOS window, works but
slowdown the game. My frame rates drops between 15 and 20%. Not good on
racing games.

Any help will be apreciate.

Regards,

Roberto

Surf to http://www.compaq.com/support/files/portables/us/software/253.html
and download a file SP5456.EXE. That should contain DOS card services.
