This might not be why, but since certain Korean companies are pretty
much dumping RAM in the US market, the US companies are pushing for a
trade injunction. This was supposed to happen in August, looks like
it's finally happening. This kind of garbage happened with that
Sumitomo explosion in 1993 (or 1992?) and the prices went up
INSTANTLY, instead of waiting for the price to buy the stuff wholesale
to go up, they raised the inventory prices.

This is typical, unethical (probably lower than Korea dumping, but
that's another story), and kind of surprising that it's allowed.

I'm sorry to say but simms are on the way up in price!  I work in the
business and my suppliers warned me two weeks ago.  The biggest increase
has actually been 4x32 and 4x36 (16 megs) The 2x32 and 2x36 have also
gone up quite a bit! I don't see any prices dropping agian, since most
simms manf. are switching over to start producing dimms, which are 64bit
memmory chips.
