I have the Logitech, I love the dang thing and I would highly
recommend it, but I can't say it's better than the Act Labs or the
Guillomont Ferrari because I've never tried them.
I did try an InterAct, the Saitek, and the Microsoft and they just
didn't compare to the Logitech.
Honestly, if I were on the market for a wheel today I would probably
order an Act Labs. I've heard great things about them from respectable
people and the RS shifter would be a nice addition. Plus, I could get
a Playstation interface and use it with GT2.

I have tried the Logitech wheel and today I got the Guillemot Ferrari
wheel. My initial impressions are that the Guillemot wheel is more
realistic in it's FF responses. The Logitech is better designed though
in that the cables and stuff come out of the pedal unit, not the wheel
and the overall quality of parts is better. Also, the Logitech is much
easier to disconnect and remove from your desk. As for the pedals the
Logitech unit has small pedals and aren't that good if you're aren't
wearing shoes; the Guillemot pedals are bigger and are better in that
regard. However, the Logitech pedal unit stays in place better on
carpet. The Guillemot isn't bad though, just that the power supply
unit is pretty cheap and you have to unplug and do a lot of unscrewing
to remove the wheel. The shifter on the Guillemot is a nice touch but
doesn't really add that much realism to games.
So far I've tried both wheels with NFS4 and Midtown Madness and I
prefer the Guillemot's feel.
BTW, for the guy who was asking about the screws on the Guillemot,
mine has two on the bottom and a lock/unlock thing on the front. I
don't know what that second***does, it doesn't really help. The
first***has a pad which grips the bottom of the desk but the
second one (closer to the wheel) doesn't and just has a ball end which
touches the bottom of the desk.

For those waiting for my 'shootout' between the Guillemot and the Act Labs
wheels, its coming as soon as Act has some units to ship.

Do you not find the FFB levels woefully inadequate in games like N3 and NL?
It is extremely weak--particularly where it is important in the subtle and
sophisticated forces. Drive into a wall and it will rip the wheel out of
your hand. Drive from the apron to the track or step the rear end out and I
feel almost nothing on my Ferrari. Do you use either of these titles? What
is your experience?

No, I prefer the Logitech's cable setup more. You see, with the
Logitech wheel only a parallel type connector is attached to the wheel
unit. So, to remove the wheel from your desk, you simply loosen the
two screws at the bottom and unplug the parallel type cable from the
wheel unit.
With the Guillemot Ferrari wheel you have to unplug the power and the
pedal cables from the wheel unit and then you still have the wheel
connected to the computer through the USB/serial cable. You still have
to unplug that from the back of your computer whether it's on your
desk or on the floor (in my case, a full tower unit beside my
desk)...that or leave it chained to your computer.
Another thing is that the Guillemot wheel's***makes it fairly
"tall"...it doesn't leave much clearance below your desk.
However, I prefer the Guillemot's feel in games so far so I plan on
keep the Guillemot wheel and returning the Logitech.

Sorry, I don't have either of those two games but now that I have the
wheel I'm sure to go and get some new driving games.
But first...an USB hub now that I'm out of USB ports.
