You know, that's something to consider. I enjoy this demo so much that I
almost feel guilty not paying for it. I don't know if everyone would pay $40
for a demo, but I would certainly pay $20 or so, especially if it came with
a rebate coupon for the full version (6 to 12 months from now). Add one more
track (maybe Laguna Seca or Lime Rock), replay control, more control over
the axes and multi-controller, and it's all set for online racing. Most of
our local, real racers only drive one or two tracks anyway. Probably some of
the track gurus will also come out with nice stuff.
I don't know the financial status of the LFS team, but it is something to
consider. Or, maybe a basic release of the game now, with the changes I've
mentioned, and then an add-on pack later. It sure is nice to see a
development team take this kind of pride in their work.
GPL wasn't a big financial success. I hope that's not going to be true for
LFS.
