 Greetings, friends HUNAMs !

    Could anyone tell me should I buy Viper Racing and what is it about ?
I like GPL, GP2, Nascar 3, little less SCGT ( though I've been dreaming
about REALISTIC GT sim ) and deleted MGPRS2 from HDD a long time ago.

  Have you tried using the Advanced Options Editor for SCGT?  You can
dload it at the gtinsider, it will give you a lot more sim feel to your
racing.

Viper is still heads and tails above SCGT even with the AO patch.

Warren, you can't go wrong with Viper Racing.  It is head and shoulders above
SCGT, which I play a lot, even with the Advanced Options Editor patch. IMHO
it is only about one tick below GPL.  The only drawbacks is there are no real
world tracks but the tracks are challenging and you can only drive a Viper
(but that's why it's called VR).  The career mode is absolutely fantastic and
extremely challenging. It is like SCGT in that you have to win money in order
to buy upgrades and you progress through 3 levels of competition.  Buy it,
you'll like it.  Paul

Excellent career mode. (Tip: weight reduction is the way to go).

Viper Racing is my favorite racing game of all time. Its got it all, almost.

Hm, I must have missed something... I tried the game twice. Didn't like it.
The graphics, the cars, the handling, I don't know, it just didn't suit me,
I guess. I deleted it and never regretted it. Try before you buy, I'd say...

Agreed with all that, I'd like to mention that IMO for 2 reasons Viper is
another milestone in the development of racing sims.

1) Viper was the first racing game with a really good FF!
2) Viper is so long AFAIK the only racing game, whose damage model is
calculated in real time and does NOT use a handful of predefined patterns,
which make the damage model of other racing games very boring after a short
time (especially, when you crash with your front and see a broken window in
the back, like in MM).
In Viper every damage looks different and if you scratch a wall, the marks
are exactly at the place, you touched the wall.

And... don't forget to get the patch 1.1, it adds to FF, as well as to
grafics and other things.

My two cents.

Viper Racing is one of the most highly-regarded Racing Sims in this forum,
and I agree with those assesments.

It is very realistic, very enjoyable, and VERY re-playable.

IMHO, it's better than anything except GPL, and if you don't like GPL, it's
the best there is.
