That was the initial plan, but then again that was back when the Nascar Pro
was still in the initial planning stages.

No, that's the Act Labs unit that's supposed to be released in Oct.
Apparently it'll be rugged, have FF, and only cost $99. Remains to be
seen but I'd wait until both are out b4 forking out $$.

No, TM hasn't released their FF wheel yet. I would hope when it is released
it will be in the body of the Nascar Pro wheel, but last I heard this hasn't
be decided.

This is disappointing. I really would like to have a BIG steering wheel for
the NASCAR sim, now we're stuck with a F1 wheel.........
Cheers,
Harald

To be honest, I felt the same way at first. The original T1 wheel was
about 10-1/2 inches in diameter and the NASCAR Pro is a little under
9-1/2 inches. While a bigger wheel may "feel" more realistic, I think
there are advantages to the smaller wheel. A bigger wheel might require
that the unit sit higher off of the desk. Also the torque factor
involved in turning a smaller wheel makes the resistance more realistic
"feel wise". Also the scale to one's monitor is more realistic with a
smaller wheel. Of course those who are using their big screen TV's for
a monitor, well you should have NASCAR hooked up to your real car's
wheels and pedals. ;-)

Then Micheal wrote again...
And now I'm writing...
Hmm... wonder if I can swap wheels from my old T2 wheel to the new
Nascar Pro? I too, think I'd like to stay with the larger wheel.

% Better than the TSW?
I haven't tried the TSW, but it is NASCAR Pro does cost less and are
more readily available. I think it's safe to say the TSW is a notch or
two above the new Thrustmaster wheel.

Actually I was comparing it to both the T1 and the T2. While the T2's
clamps are much improved over the T1's Velcro and suction cups, they
still are no match for the Nascar Pro's clamps.

Regards,

I mounted my T1 on a sheet of particle board using the space age velcro
strips and then clamp the board to my desktop using a C clamp. Its worked
great for years now... But the T1 is wearing out now and looking forward to
getting the pro wheel in the very near future. Thanks for the review Eric!
