Steve, not to gloat or anything, but I showed Packman that his method
was wrong, and he admitted he forgot to install the advanced options
editor first.
Editing the default.vhs file within vechile.mas has NO effect..
Sorry.

Hi Dave,

In your post, you proclaimed...

"Now if the ai corner speed was a little quicker!Keep the goods coming."

Go to the GT Insider site and you will find mucho info on their forum.  For
example, http://www.racesimcentral.net/***.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000180.html contains
Gunslinger's instructions but it also includes an alternative from Packman
that
describes how to increase the speed of the AI through the turns.  This makes
for a much more realistic and strategic race.  Also, this alternative
method, is not impacted if you enter the 'Race Options' screen.

Here is How to make the AI Very Good in SCGT

by Steve » Thu, 03 Jun 1999 04:00:00

James (aka Gunslinger),

Thanks for the update.  I take it that after installing the 1.551 patch that
it is neccessary to re-install the Advanced Options Editor (AOE).  I
wondered why all of a sudden I was so quick at Sebring!

Since reading your post I have re-installed the AOE and, like you gloated,
whoops, I mean like you said :-), editing the default.vhs file within
vechile.mas has NO effect.

Oh well... (maybe you or Packman should update the Forum 'cause as we speak
people are wondering why it worked for some and not for others -- a case of
whether or not they have installed the the AOE).

BTW, I like your site and your downloadable cars!

Steve (aka VFactor)
