> Ok, so you say the AI in SCGT is too slow in the turns... Not very
> smart..
> Well.. I got a simple solution..
> Saw you made a Player called JSmith
> Navigate to your C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Sports Car
> GT\SAVE\JSmith folder.
> You will see a file called: JSmith.PLR
> Right click on that file and choose: Open With...
> Now find your Winzip32 in the menu.
> Once you open that file with Winzip you will see a zip file with a
> JSmith.plr inside it with ? ? ? for size and compression.
> No worries.
> Click Extract
> Extract it to a safe folder some where.
> No go to that file you just extracted..
> This time open the newly extracted file with a text editor (Like
> Notepad.. Not Word or Wordpad)
> Scroll down until you see:
> Difficulty=(1.00)
> GameMode=0
> Note, the number 1.00 at difficulty may be different.. Don't worry
> about that, just find the Difficulty=(some number.00)
> Now with that number at 1.00 that is normal max difficulty in the
> game.
> Turn that to 2.00
> In other Words..
> Difficulty=(2.00)
> Now save the file.
> Copy that file over your JSmith.plr in your SCGT/SAVE/JSmith folder.
> Start SCGT
> DO NOT.. I REPEAT.. DO NOT go to the RACE settings page.. You do and
> it sets the number back at 1.00
> Just go race.
> Prepare to lose.. muhahahahhahahahahahaha
> Too tough for ya? Turn the number down to 1.50
> Find a number that's good for you..
> If you accidently go to the race settings page where it shows opponent
> strength, remember it will set the AI back to 1.00 rating.
> There is to ways to avoid this..
> 1) Just have a spare copy of your JSmith.plr with the difficulty
> setting you like some where, and overwrite it again if the AI strength
> goes down..
> 2) OR... Right click on the modified JSmith.plr file and select
> Properties, then make sure the READ ONLY box is checked..This way,
> SCGT can not overwrite the file.
> What I did was make a player for every track.. Like for Chatam I named
> the Player James Chatam... Then I modify the player file James Chatam
> with the preferred difficulty I like, make it read only, then whenever
> I want to race Chatam at tough AI I choose player James Chatam and
> click READY... Then I click race.. For Limerock, use like Billy
> Limerock and do the same..
> Pretty cool huh.. And I guarantee.. you can't complain about weak AI
