For anyone interested in TIR, there is a forum on High Gear with
discussions about editing the physics, setups, etc...  The handling
can be quite good with some tweaking.

lol...well I'm not quite that bad. Actually I hate it when someone asks
"what do you want for Xmas?" It just seems so wrong to say I
want........,.........,.......  The only real reason I said TIR was to get
them to shut up. about it.

Here's a copy of a post over at HG for the cardata file (these are joystick
settings but the same concepts apply to a wheel with some tweaking):

:STEERING_SPEED_ARRAY
0.00 150
0.10 145
0.20 140
0.30 135
0.40 130
0.50 125
0.60 120
0.70 115
0.80 110
0.90 105

:STEERING_RETURN_SPEED 30.00

the array setting determines how many degrees per second the steering can be
turned,a hi setting `150` makes it faster at `0.00` which is a slow speed,
as speed
increases the steering reduces in speed so its not twitchy at high speed.
the return speed controls the speed at which the steering returns to dead
ahead.
simple to adjust, look in the tuning guide for more info.
any questions feel free to ask.
tip-to reduce the aggressive turn in, reduce the toe in in the setup.
enjoy,i am, and don't forget to backup your original files.

BTW, what wheel do you have?  My MOMO control is excellent.

Thanks for the latest tweaks, much appreciated.

BTW, what do you drive with a wheel or joystick?  I want to try your
settings only if you use a wheel (I use a Logi MOMO).

joystick user and have been since i got my atari 2600 !!
so i dont know what my tweaks will be like with a wheel. i havent had any
feedback yet from wheel users.
im sure if you keep checking the high gear forum wheel users will start to
tweak themselves.

you can get a tweaking guide here, by razorworks themselves

http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~hg/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54748

thats where most of us `tweakers` have got our info from and they`re
working on a util to make it easier and a patch as well, apparently they
know about wheel and FFB probs and they`re working on a fix.

Thanks for the url, but now I'm getting frustrated.....

It's been awhile since I've logged onto the High Gear forums, but my
login and password still do get me in and allow me to compose a
message.  However, when I try to start a new thread with that message,
to ask for help on my TIR installation problem, I get kicked out to a
logon screen again, and my thread doesn't post.

Any ideas on what's wrong?

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know what's wrong.  Perhaps try re-registering and start
again.

Didn't Kenneth plan to take High Gear offline some time ago?
