I really think GP2 is great and I don't understand why
anybody is complaining about it. I play it in VGA on my P100
just to get the right feeling of speed and I absolutely love it...
Why complain about poor grafics in VGA or about the fact the
game is slow in SVGA. The game absolutely flies in VGA and the gameplay is
excellent in this mode. And that's what it's all about isn't it.

So please stop complaining about this excellent game and enjoy playing it !!

Greatings Patrick.

BTW. Great job Geoff !!!!!

Those who look at the Emperor and really like his "new clothes" are
welcome to complement him on his outfit.

Those who look at the Emperor and his "new clothes" and realize that
he's buck ***, should say so.

Having said that, the Emperor in question, does have "new clothes".
However, I am pretty sure that the tailor forgot the left pant leg.  The
shirt's cuff on the right is a different color than the one on the left.
And for some reason the zipper is missing.

However, if you replay this, everything will be reversed ;-)

You don't get it do you?  Many people are pissed off because they thought
they were patiently waiting for a "near perfect" racing sim.  GP2 was
handed out a lot of glorious accolades long before it was released and
therefore most people's expectations fell unexpectantly short when
Microprose actually delivered.  Yes, it is a pretty cool game, but it's
definately not as "Great" as I was anticipating.  GP2 was touted as ICR2,
but BETTER.  Well, GP2 does indeed have it's plus side, but it falls short
in many areas that "We" sim racers have already grown to expect in ICR2
and Nascar.

The bottom line is that when your put off for nine months or so, you
expect a better product than what GP2 delivers.  Also, VGA mode.  Give me
a break!  If I'm gonna plunk down $60 bucks for a game I damn well expect
to be able to play it in it best possible graphics mode.  Even if I only
have a measly P100 and 32 meg of ram.

Sorry Patrick but it most countries and certainally in this NG people
have a right to their opinion, nothing you can say will change that.
How would newsgroups exists if no one expressed an opinion ?

What you forgot to mention is that YOUR Emporer - the divine and
benevolent Papyrus - is in no position to question the apparel of
anyone. Especially when he wears white towelling socks.

I know what's going on here, and I think others do as well.  Oliver
Stone has filled me in on your doings....

Having said that... Obviously, you haven't been around here long, since
you don't know of what you speak.  Just a few months ago I was one of
the many who said that the Papyrus Emporer WAS "buck ***" when he
paraded out in his new clothes.

I just calls 'em as I see 'em.
