Ok - I wanted to post this in the papy forums but couldn't figure out how to
post a message?!?!?!?!?!... I could only find Reply.. anyways...

Since the patch every race and I mean every flipping race I will get about
half way through and the game will crash with out warning. My pc doesn't
reboot like alot of others have been complaining about... the game
crashes... any idea's why? (all drivers are updated )
At this point I'm so pissed off I'm about to trash n2003 and go back to
n2002..

It may be an ini setting for memory on replays.  I'm not sure what it needs
to be, but that might get you started in the right direction.   If it
crashes at what seems like the same spot every race time-wise, that may be
it.  I know it would happen to others.

I'll see if I can find a post related to this i saw a few days ago.  Might
be of some help.

First thing that comes to mind is a problem  other folks have had.  And
it may be a sound issue.  Try going to dxsetup and turning the sound
hardware acceleration down one notch.
  Good luck finding your problem.
