Just got T2 NEED HELP!!!!

by Patrick Shuma » Mon, 23 Mar 1998 04:00:00

I would like some advice on using the pedals on the T2.  I can't figure
out a good way to place my feet and have it be comfortable.  I was
getting better control in Nascar 2 with a joystick.  I don't want to
return it so your help would be appreciated.

Thank You,

Patrick Shumar

It just takes some getting used to.  I had a heck of a time adapting to
my T1 pedals.  Some things you may want to try is raising the pedal base
(prop it up on an old Computer Shopper).  The other thing you want to do
is come up with a method of making sure the base doesn't move.  Alot of
people have just used a book or something similar between the base and
the wall to keep it from sliding.  While others have constructed
complete***pit mock-ups.  Well, that's not they only reason they build
a full mock-up, but....

Just stick with it.  Don't be afraid to try different placement and
postitioning of the pedal unit (tilted with a book under the front or
back) until you become comfortable.  Once you find this comfort zone, be
patient, it will take time to break the bad habits you learned while
driving with your joystick.  Your times should soon decrease, while your
enjoyment should increase.   [Jim S. -- I got it right this time, didn't
I?]
