DTR: trivia on real world setups

OK, it's not directly related to DTR because it wasn't on a full bodied
car, but it is dirt track related.

I was at the World of Outlaws sprint car show in Chicago yesterday and
noticed something very interesting about the suspensions on the
cars.  Every single one of them had a bump stop on the *left* rear
shock.  Not the right rear.  I was going to go back into the pits after
the races were run and ask someone, but we had a massive thunderstorm and
everyone (including the teams) split.  Anyone have any ideas why the bump
stop on the left but not the right?
