F12001 - GeForce3 - Texture Prob if more than 10 AI

Just switched to a GeForce 3 from a Voodoo 5500 and it looks promising.

At first all went well with F1 2001 using 12.41 drivers, after trying
different drivers I decided for 21.81 even if there is a mirror problem in
F1 2001 and then the problem appeared (NOTE: Went back to 12.41 and it still
there :-(  )

With less than 10 AI cars everthing is great (except mirrors) but with more
AI cars the track texture is white with a rainbow of colors and the system
slow down.

If I wait after the start that no more car are visible, things gets better.

It looks like texture memory problem to me. Any hints from peoples used to
GeForce cards is welcome.

I have TBird 1400
Abit KT7A-R
256 Mb Crucial
GeForce 3 not overclocked.
AGP Aperture set to 128M
AGP set to 4X

I tried a number of tweaks without success...

try this, make sure fsaa is disabled. Hit fast settings in utility or
play around with it a bit.

12.90 drivers

game runs great 40fps 1024x768 16bit
medium detail
not in windowed mode.
lotta tweaking though

I had the same problem (white screen than streaking rainbow) because I was
running a different res than my desktop.  Make sure it's the same res and
bit depth.  I have mirrors working while racing but not in test mode
(bizarre) and I'm getting 40+ fps with a full field and graphics set high.
Can't wait for the patch coming real soon to straighten this out without
tweaks (fingers crossed).

Specs:

AMD 1600+
512 MB Ram
GF3 Ti 500 (22.40 drivers)
Win XP
AGP Aperture 64MB
AGP 4x

I think running fraps 1.5 might help with the mirrors, I'm not sure since
I'm not testing extensively.
