Various sites had a small utility that disabled the windows key.
I'm trying to remember which,,,about all I can think of is the
Thrustmaster site, which doesn't help, since I have no clue what has
been transferred over to Guillemot.

Sorry, but what are you doing with a keyboard in GPL?

Take the key off the keyboard. Fix a plastic sprue or similar into the
hollow of the key, just  long enough to prevent key being pressed. Try to
re-attach to keyboard. If that works great. If you have difficulty in
re-attaching key, leave it off

I'm using a little program called WKeyKill.
I can mail it to you, the zip is about 6 K.

I use a steering wheel. One of the windows keys is between the Ctrl
and Alt keys on the left side. When your online and want a fps or
latency reading it's easy to accidentally hit the windows key and
lock up the game.

The Windows Kernel Toys for Windows 95 from Micro$haft contains a
"program" called "DosWinky", that allows you to disable the Windows Logo
key in a DOS environment. I don't know if this will work with GPL since
I haven't tried it and don't use the keyboard at all. I am using the
LWFF profiler to map the ALT-F command to one of the buttons on the
wheel.
