The Ultimate Per4mer Force Feedback wheel is out now. It is available at
Babbages's, Computer City, etc. for app. $200US. I tried one and returned it
after a couple of weeks.

Reasons I returned it:
1. It connects to a serial port not a game port.
2. I couldn't get it to work in any DOS games.
3. Too hard to get properly calibrated in Win95 games.
4. Steering felt "rough" not smooth.

Things I liked:
1. Force feedback worked pretty well.
2. Plenty of buttons to use.

I'm waiting for the Act Labs Force RS to be released. Much better price and
looks like a better wheel.

When is the Actlabs RS wheel supposed to come out. I remeber it was
supposed to be out for around Xmas past, then I heard something about
a legal matter with (Atari?) over the FFB.

I believe the legal matters have been sorted out
and the ACT Labs Force RS should begin shipping
sometime in May.

I mentioned it in another post, so perhaps it didn't get seen by those
interested...  I have used the Ultimate Per4Mer Force Feedback wheel,
the first to come out as far as I know.  Unfotunately I only got to use
it once in Daytona USA, but it felt about like how the arcade version
does.  The wheel doesn't self-center, but has a very solid, accurate
feel to it.  My T2 is quite vague in comparison.  The amount of buttons
on the UP4M sometimes makes it hard to grip the thing with confidence,
but I suppose that just takes getting used to.
